One of three images going on my new batch of business cards, because you know what? I'm loving the combination of metallics and burn in the new work that is starting to come out of the new studio.
Speaking of the new work space... I am sorry for being so AWOL the past 6 months. I should be back full force as of this upcoming weekend, unforeseen happenings aside.
What pulled me away was a complicated, messy, personal-for-someone-else situation that, by virtue of being this other person's support network, I became involved in, and it necessitated my effectively stepping away from public posting for the most part.
On top of that, due to a situation of my own last summer, I found myself short a home, place to work, transportation, broke, and in significant debt, as well, so I was struggling to work and maintain a presence across networks. I had already been skipping meals at the start of 2013, and it just got tighter as the year went on. I learned a tremendous amount from crashing with friends and storing almost all of my possessions for a couple of months, and I have a huge store of experiences to paint from, as well. Always a bright side!
That said, as rough as things have been, they are steadily improving,, though different and often a very much touch and go up until the end of this week. Better yet though, I am back working and have a support network of my own that I am intensely grateful for, and a wealth of experiences that I am stronger and wiser for having gone through.
I'm looking forward to being back around these parts more often very, very soon.
