This may be getting a bit boring for anyone not in the UK or not interested in politics - but since this the only forum I have to get things out of my mind bear with me if you keep reading.
So Boris has lefty the campaign to become the next Tory leader and thus Prime Minister. Why? because the mate he has been travelling around the country with shouting ‘Leave’, Michael Gove, has shafted him. People thought they were a dream team - but today he said Boris was not the right man for the job - and put himself forward, having said earlier he was not suitable for the job. ‘Et tu Brute’ if you know about Julius Caesar.
I have kept saying Boris was not the man for the job - and now he will not get it.
The headline ‘Boris Pulls Out’ says it all - I had a picture of him shagging - something he IS really good at, apparently - and finding he cannot finish. Must be a first!

If you want another Shakespeare play - Macbeth - Gove’s wife seems to have been like Lady Macbeth - telling little Mikey to be brave - and go for it.

What with this and the Labour Party going through a leadership crisis we don;t even have anyone to arrange for the deckchairs to be sorted out as the Titanic goes down.
At least we will be spared a Johnson/ Trump partnership.
And just to remind people - 100 years ago tomorrow The Battle of the Somme started - one of the nost destructive battles in British history, It was crucial in the development of Irish history since many Ulstermen took part and died - especially on the first day - and that blood sacrifice became a justification for the existence of the northern state - just as the Easter Rising of the same year have the same status for nationalists.
I have been to the trenches of the Somme battlefield, and it is amazing how close the enemy trenches were - no wonder men who came home rarely talked about it.
