One of the CDs I had during my 1992 cruise on the USS Saratoga was Roxette’s Joyride. Seems this tune was about halfway through the album. There is also a Spanish version which is kind of pretty. That was on Baladas En Español as “Como la lluvia en el cristal”, the CD which I found in Italy of all places, years later. I can almost understand the words to the Spanish version thanks to two years of High School Spanish.

It has been so dry. The weather guessers on ABC this morning said Maine is 33% below normal for rainfall. After a very dry winter you would think that it all brown and dusty, but you would be wrong. It is as lush and green as ever here. But the fire danger is at the extreme end of the spectrum.

We got our weekly 15 minutes of rain. It was amazing to watch the pooling yellow water in the streets. The pollen has been ungodly.

Of watercolors. This painting was on an art site. At first I thought it was a photo. But the caption read “Steve Hanks 1949 Watercolor.” I suspect it was done with one of those Photoshop filters, because the detail is too refined. If someone could do that with watercolors…
