A night in a mom and pop hotel gave Gerty and Fritz opportunity to get their bearings and become refreshed and dressed for a more formal outing. Gerty knew the Bergstein’s were well heeled. Fashionable attire would be expected. A lovely flowered dress set just below the knee was donned. Fritz saw the beautiful young woman Gerty could be. Fritz always dressed ready for a funeral and was impeccable in style and hygiene.

Bridgeport was a lovely city with a village feel. Its winding roads were lined with homes made for style, security and privacy. No call announcing their visit was made. Gerty seemed confident she could convince Eleanor Bergstein to keep her offer to visit her daughter. Arriving in a limo with a distinguished looking driver did not hurt the situation.

The home was more lavish than either Gerty or Fritz could imagine. The first obstacle was the foreboding iron gate with a call box and video surveillance. Gerty decided to get out of the vehicle and present her cute and non threatening persona. The call box gave an immediate response. An employee started the standard cross examination. Gerty turned on her innocent charm.

“Hi, Mrs Bergstein. This is Gerty from the school. I hope you remember me. I am a close friend of Charlotte’s and like I promised I’ve come to see her. Really have missed her since we graduated.”

The voice inside the box responded,

“Um, this is not Mrs Bergstein dear but you are here to visit Charlotte?”

The voice could not hide it’s surprise. Apparently Charlotte did not get many visitor’s. This was no surprise at all to Gerty.

“Well, I would love to see her. I hope someone is there to remember me and let visit.”

There was silence but eventually a new voice came on and Mrs. Bergstein was on the box.

“Well it is you dear. Drive on up honey. I am sure Charlotte will be delighted to see you.”

The gate hummed and slowly opened and Gerty was back in the car and ready to make her grand entrance . This was just adventure to Gerty. The next excitement waiting to happen.

Fritz pulled up to marble steps and a columned veranda. Gerty waited for her door to be opened and assisted out of the limousine. The staff member who was likely the head of the wait staff was at the top of the steps waiting to greet the new guest. Gerty maintained her prime and proper appearance and allowed her self to be officially welcomed in the home. One step through the door brought the regality of the moment to a quick end. Charlotte was in await.

“You have to fucking shitting me.” Gerty fucking....eh, what is your last name anyway?

Gerty smiled and replied,

“Gerty fucking will do Charlotte.”

Charlotte coughed out a laugh and came back,

“Gerty psycho bitch is more like it.”

Any thought of hurting Gerty’s feelings would end in bitter disappointment. Gerty cared little what other’s thought or said but she did enjoy the human interaction. This was just like children playing a game to Gerty. Gerty was more than happy to play along.

“Crack Whore”

“Murderer”

“Seeeeeelut”

“Fuck you Gerty”

“Go fuck yourself”

Both girls stood toe to toe exchanging pleasantries until the simutaneously burst out laughing. As much as they showed their hatred towards each other in the hospital both knew they were never going to build normal lives that included friends. For Gerty and Charlotte this was as close it may ever come.

“Come on out to the pool and have a lemonade biatch. I’ll grab the tequila.”

Fritz stood quietly next to the stunned head mistress and considered what a jolt of tequila might do to shake up the day.
