Not sure how long it’s been since I was here, but I had 94 bookmarks!! I’ll NEVER catch up :o.
I’m sorry, faves. Stuff has happened. Daniel was sick for like 3 weeks with a bad cough and fever and he was finally hospitalized for pneumonia on May 25th. The whole thing was pretty much hell, though I gotta admit, all things considered, it could have been worse. It was still scary watching him deteriorate so fast… from the moment they diagnosed him till they hospitalized him a couple of hours later. But all in all, the health system worked–the emergency room was fast, the doctor knew what to do, the transfer was painless, the nurses didn’t overjab him… we were treated like people. Everyone called my son by his name and seemed to know who he was, which was very gratifying.
So anyway he was only hospitalized for 4 days but it felt like 4 years. I dunno how people can live through their children being hospitalized for months on end. It’s exhausting and stressful. Afterwards my parents came… so for at least 3 weeks I was absolutely unable to get online. Now things are finally beginning to quiet down. Daniel is healthy (sort of–he’s kind of snotty, but at least he’s over the cough thing) and I’m sick with a cold, so I’m taking some time to catch up.
I feel really weak. This cold is kicking my bootay. Today I was barely able to keep up with my kid. I gotta get some sleep or it’ll be the same thing tomorrow. Good night all.
