It is time for the political news to go on hiatus. I am so tired of listening to all the crap, especially the politically correct shit on the news. Wake me up when this is over.

George Will said it well regarding the chicks with dicks legislation in North Carolina. “A solution in search of a problem.” I don’t pay any attention to anyone else when I go into a public restroom, but I guarantee if I threw on a wig and walked into the woman’s restroom behind your daughter you would not be particularly inclined to ignore it.

A group of West Point Cadets, all “black” females got into minor trouble for posting a picture with them giving a black power salute while in uniform. Wrong for so many reasons. Potential military officers have to be held to a higher standard of behavior. But this is the obamanation.

On the presidential front. We are down to a choice between a criminal shrill shrew who thinks she should be elected because she has a vagina and put up with slick Willy for 40 years, a megalomaniac loose cannon with Tourettes, and a senile communist who didn’t have a job until he was 40 - spent 25 years in congress and sponsored three pieces of legislation, two of which involved renaming post offices in Vermont. Yay. ‘Merica.

Like I said, wake me up when this is over.

It is a little weird to realize that as of Monday I am completely debt free for the first time since I was 19 years old, when I got my first car loan. The other weird thing to realize is that if you don’t spend money at the drop of a hat, you find yourself with more money.

How odd.

I am now saving for my next car, which I will pay for with cash. Another amazing thing about frugality is that if you are not paying interest, you have more money. Things you have to learn on your own, no one can tell you or teach you. When you are in your 20s and 30s you can tell yourself you have all the time in the world to figure it out.

Once you reach a certain age you start to realize you have been pretty stupid, financially speaking, for most of your life.

Hindsight. Always 20/20.

Although there is nothing wrong with my vision right now.
