Although they aren’t exactly equivalent, it seems like both men and women have a sexual body part that can vary in size, breasts and penises.
Breast size is usually somewhat obvious. I know bras can make sizes look different, but for the most part you can look at a fully clothed woman and at least have a basic idea of how large her breasts are. Not true with penises. Even men with exceptionally large penises aren’t necessarily going to show any signs of that with pants on.
But breasts aren’t really judged the same way as penises. There are guys that really love small boobs. There are guys that prefer women who are flat chested. Although some women might like “average size” penises, you’ll virtually never hear anyone say she likes a guy with a small one.
When I was younger I had no idea I had a small penis. I had no brothers or male friends around whom I would take my clothes off. The internet wasn’t a thing and I had no access to pornography. It’s so easy to see naked people these days that it’s hard to imagine there was a time not too long ago when it was quite different.
My family went on a camping trip when I was about 12 and I remember going into the washroom to take a shower. They had separate private showers, but no private changing areas, so men would just get naked in front of the shower and then step in. I believe this was the first time in my life I had ever seen another man naked. I remember being startled by how hairy he was, and confused by his long dangling penis.
My penis did not dangle. If I played with it, it would get hard and point out, but when it was soft it would essentially completely disappear into itself. And until that moment I just assumed that’s what all penises were like.
I soon learned the idea that there are two penis types, growers and showers, and I certainly had a grower. But as I got older and started having more and more opportunities in gym class and at public pools to see naked men, I paid particular attention to penises and never saw a shower quite like mine.
People talk about penis length while soft and penis length while hard. My penis length while soft is zero inches. There is nothing to measure. If you’ve never seen a penis that disappears like mine (and I presume most people haven’t) it can create awkward moments when it appears that I have a scrotum and nothing else.
I’d be willing to post photos here but I have a feeling no one wants to see that.
It also means I can’t pee standing up unless I am at least slightly erect. Without an erection, I have nothing to aim.
My penis length while hard is nothing to brag about either. It would be one thing if I disappeared while soft and then grew to a respectable 6 inches while hard. But the reality is closer to half of that. Last time I measured, in fact, I didn’t quite make it to the 3 inch point. It was more like 2-7/8 inches, and you know when you are measuring in 8ths of an inch that you don’t have much to work with.
