I loved this movie!!!!!!!
I really really enjoyed this movie and WOULD see it again in the theaters.
I can’t say I am an expert with all of the DC and Marvel movies. I know some and have seen the ones I was interested in not all.
However I love the latest Superman series. If anyone saw and enjoyed “Man of Steel” they will believe and know that Henry Cavill did a spectacular job playing Superman aka Clark Kent. I think he embodies the character for both sides Superman has to play. While he is also the hottest Superman every outside of that he just plays the role well. That is why I went to see him. He was great in “The Tudors” if everyone remembers so he must be good here. He is the reason why I went to the movie. While this is a remake I believe and have believed this IS a good remake. I had watched MOS on the television (I think HBO) and when it first came on TV I literally rewinded it back and watched it once more. Two times in one sitting one movie. I have done that with a few movies in one sitting.
There are some greats but I loved MOS. In any case with no spoilers I will say Superman vs. Batman was OFF THE HOOK! I heard many peoples big mouths while they left the movie theater of how the movie sucked. I wanted to get into a deep conversation about the movie? Did you get into it deeply or did you just want to see the comic book? Think about what some of them said or the message that was presented? There was SO many deeper meanings with this movie. Within the first 10 minutes of the movie I knew I would love it. I just KNEW it would be great. I had wondered what the hell was the beef between the two famous superheros who should not be fighting one another but I got it and the director, along with the writing, with the producer really showed a STORY. The action sequences were insane and part of me wanted to yell in the theater. I will not tell story line BUT I went into the theater thinking it was the most ridiculous decision to cast Ben Affleck of all people to play “Batman”. I mean this is Batman. How can you play Batman after Christian Bale of all Batmans? However Ben was good. He was REALLY good. He blew me away and I was extremely impressed with his version of Batman. In my opinion he played Batman in his own way and it worked. I related to this Batman more so - than Christian Bales. Also bringing in Wonder Woman? At first I thought this was stupid and I was not rather impressed by the idea however- Woman Woman kicked major ass and her presence was SEEN and HEARD in this movie. It was one of the WOW moments like hell yes this woman is a badass. I liked it. I really liked that. The movie was a bit dark and I like that also. There is true evil in this world and while there are real superheros in the world let’s face it. The world can be dark at times. It worked. I got it.
There is one more major character played by Jesse Eisenberg which I wont give details BUT he was phenomenal in his role also. Every man character just played their role so well. Besides the drama and action sequences with powerful hits with slams I must say I actually ALMOST cried at the end of this movie. I looked around to see if anyone was as upset as me? It lead into some new areas or ideas as well so it left you thinking. Even supporting characters were also played very well. While there are some flaws overall as you can see I enjoyed it.
I left the theater with another clapping ovation because I thought it was an amazing film. I would highly suggest for this movie without reading critics reviews but if you liked MOS then go see this movie!
