It starts... in The Manifesto

TheMoor suggested I run for government… He’s either completely bonkers or a genius! How awesome would a world run by me be? It would be very much like Switzerland with loads of personal responsibility and super efficient systems. The trains definitely run on time in CamdenWorld!

Anyway, I thought it might be a nice idea to introduce the concept of a manifesto for the People of Prosebox where we put our ideas together and come up with a Utopia of connected souls…

What should we tax?
What should citizens get in return?
What would you include in your manifesto?

Having seen our city council trash the city despite what the residents want, I think it should be easier to get rid of them than elections every 4 years. they also suffer from low turnouts.
fairer policies to pay back government errors - if the govt overpay you by mistake, it's not very easy to pay them back. also, they should sort out payment issues sooner, rather than it take several months.

Agreed! Good ideas here!

Complicated Disaster March 23, 2016

I think tax is too complicated. Why have so many taxes. Why not just have a single income tax or VAT which covers everything? xx

I think you know my opinions.
Introduction of grammar schools
Introduction of vocational schools (like Germany or Switzerland) with attached apprenticeships.
No tax on the minimum wage - possibly phasing out NI so you only have one tax system.
A WAG tax (e.g. higher rates of VAT on things like expensive cars or handbags or so on - the people buying these will be oligarchs' wives and mistresses)
Get rid of the tampon tax.
However, just like Switzerland, a lot of this will require us to be outside of the EU!

Oh lots and lots of good stuff here. I love the WAG tax!
