This and that in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

Another early Sunday and the washing machine is filling with water for a load of my clothes. I got J’s laundry done yesterday and was going to wait until Monday to do mine, but changed my mind this morning.

The weather has slowly been warming up and yesterday would have been a perfect day to burn except for the wind. It wasn’t blowing or gusting as high as earlier in the week but too much for open burning. There are lots of dead branches large and small down to twigs and of course, leaves from last fall and extra leaves that have been blown into the yard from the hillsides. I’ll get it done eventually as soon as the conditions are right. Do not want to be fighting fire on the hill sides so will wait until the winds are taking a nap and try to get things cleaned up before spring planting and mowing.

Friday was a day of normal tasks and then taking J to the bank so he could cash his pay check and then on to the Game Stop store. I did go by Lowe’s to see if they had a specific type of light bulb for my ceiling fan light in the sewing room but didn’t find it. My HS friend had told me about it when she was here and wasn’t sure where they had gotten the ones the bought but said it was much perfect for the sewing room and was an LED bulb and cover combined. She wasn’t sure that it would cover completely but almost. I’ll accept almost to give me better light in their any day. So now I’ll need to check out Menard’s and another one of two home improvement stores to see if I can find it. I will text her to see if her husband remembers where they got them.

After J shopped at the Game Stop I ran into Walmart and got milk and a couple of other things knowing I’ll have all four grands tonight and in the morning. They all usually want the breakfast sandwiches that J used to eat for breakfast so I bought another box of them for tomorrow and will have them here for when Isaiah stays here over spring break. He may rather have cereal and that is fine too. I’m stocked. lol

Since it was too windy to burn yesterday I had to stay outside and do something. I cleaned out all my planters in the front and even planted up a solar light holder that quit working with hen and chicks and gravel. I took a picture of it with the phone but didn’t upload them yet. I did upload some pictures of the deer herd below my house in the hay field. J and I had seen them on our way home Friday evening and Dude had to come and get something out of the shop building and had called me to get my camera and go outside to wait for him. lol He was so excited it was comical. I have to admit that seeing that many deer all together was pretty exciting and when I counted them with J I counted 27. When I went back with Dude there were around 40. I may post a couple of those pictures but may not, as they may not be something anyone but us are interested in seeing. I will say this. I am pretty sure the hay crop will be lower this year than last, since it is feeding so many deer, and the doe are not done having fawns yet. Depending on how many doe produce, there could be 60 or 70 deer feeding in that pasture. Whew!

My plan is to go to SS and church this morning. I really hope that happens. It didn’t last Sunday or Sunday before so I hope nothing disrupts that intention. Sometime this afternoon Dudette will bring the kids down and then sometime or another O will also join the other 3 to spend the night. Mickey’s birthday is tomorrow and she turns 12 years old so I plan to bake a b’day cake today and will probably give her the birthday presents I have for her. She wanted a thumb drive for one of the electronic, so I bought that this week and she loves horses so I bought her a wild horse tapestry for her room and I’ll give her some cold cash to finish it up. Raylee’s birthday is at the end of this month and not sure what she wants yet, but bet she lets me know. ;)

I must get the laundry switched over and get the day started. Also have to do some prep for the day so will just wish each of you a great Sunday and wonderful week. Take care and God Bless.
Deer herd-Not the best of quality, but you get the idea.

i LOVE seeing deer! in person or in photos. if i didn't have to be in the toddler room this morning, i'd stay home. it's been windy here, too. that makes it too chilly to be outside for very long. one of these days, the wind will be welcomed and cooling but, just not now! take care,

You are a wonderful mother and grandmother. I like the kids telling us what they want for their birthday. So much easier on us. :-)

My hubby and I went for a drive after supper once and (not all together but...) we counted about 50 deer.
