Two book reviews this entry…
First is Confessions of a School Nurse by Michael Alexander, a pseudonym of a male nurse. This is a quick, easy read at 315 pages (including acknowledgements). The premise is that Alexander winds up at a boarding school in the French Alps, and is part of a three nurse team for pupils, teachers and other staff. The book details what sort of things he has to deal with. Having been to a boarding school, nothing in this book was new to me.
I may go and find his Confessions of a Male Nurse at some point and have a read. I’m not really sure about this book - maybe the writing didn’t quite hit the spot.
Read this book on 23-24 January 2016

The next book is Rogue Moon by Algis Budrys (175 pages). Set in the 1950s, it follows Al Barker - a daredevil who is approached by a US lunar programme to attempt a labyrinth set on the moon. But in order to do so, Barker must die over and over again. This took me two days to read (24 - 25 January), along with real life stuff to deal with. An average read for me - it felt more like a soap opera in parts with science fiction as a back drop. The ending was perhaps a bit forgettable, especially now (three days later).
