Everything changes.
I think people at college have worked out there’s something going on between me and Physics Boy - it didn’t help plans to keep anything quiet when the hello was big smily hello as we entered physics on Tuesday! On the way out he held the door for me too, and we sat together at a table in the canteen for lunch. I got a sharp reminder that college food is not as good as Greggs because I got a kick from bump when I had the college sandwiches, and not today when I had Greggs.
I actually do have a little bit of a bump, if I wear loose clothing it’s not noticeable, but it’s there and gradually getting larger.
I had a talk with Physics Boy after college yesterday, about us, what we had done and where we go. While he was sat next to me he held my hand which I thought was sweet. We talked about how we could make it work, and inevitably we ended up talking about what happened and having sex. He told me he didn’t want it to be a one time only thing and that he did want a proper relationship with me and the fact that I’m pregnant doesn’t alter it. I ended up telling him I only had one regret, that my bump wasn’t his. And I meant that. I then blurted out that I was wishing it had been him I had lost my virginity to as I was developing feelings for him.
We’ve made plans for Saturday, a proper date/day.
This afternoon was another development - I had my 20 week scan. My sister came with me, and as I already knew what was going to happen I wasn’t too worried. So far so good, bump is doing well. Then my sister piped up asking if she was having a niece or nephew! The midwife asked me if I wanted to know, so I said yes, and she told me.
And I kept a promise at this point. I sent a text to my mum. “Your granddaughter Jasmine is doing well.” I had already got names picked out.
I think this has helped a lot. Now my baby is known to be a girl and I have a name for her, she’s taken on much more of an identity now. I think that’s certainly helped mum, as she gave me a hug and said to me earlier this evening, “i hope my little girl takes care of her little girl.”
I’m tired, so I’m going to go sit back, relax, and have a slightly early night.
