THREE THINGS

1. All of August I have been going to film camp, watching a slew of old movies on TMC--this week is the week I will watch day and night as if I were out of town and at a film festival--a gift to myself.

2. As I write this I am eating from a bowl of chocolate ice cream. Fingers on an ice cream spoon and then the keyboard here, dangerous combo.

3. My meditation reading: it may be that I should have seen a crane standing on an ice-covered lake in winter in order to better understand the beauty in waiting until I can be truly useful to others. Self-reliance, the theme.
