on the weekend... in here

this weekend was pretty good.

yesterday i did absolutely nothing. the only thing i accomplished was ready part of a book.

today was slightly more productive. went on a hike with a friend. tried out a pack , but it was only filled with my sleeping bag and water bladder.

my boots are still rubbing my left foot, so that’s no good. feels like it is rubbing against a tendon or similar on the right side and chaffing in the back.

i have an appt with my doc thanksgiving week so i’ll talk with him about that as well as my knee.

on that note, i did get a knee brace that i wore on my left knee and that helped. no pain now. but i am curious to see why it is hurting at all.

previously (in the spring and early summer), it didn’t hurt at all, ever. i never stretched (even though i should have) and had no issues. even if i went hiking immediately after waking up. i also did some pretty steep hills and strenuous hikes.

on a good note, i’ll probably log about 25,000 steps today.

we did go to brunch afterwards. it was ok, but it was pretty disappointing really. i really like trying new restaurants, but it always sucks when it doesn’t live up to expectations.

earlier this week we went to happy hour to celebrate our old boss’s new job. it was pretty chill and relaxing.

the next day, friday, i went to rei. got my pack and some other camping knick knacks. went to dinner at this brewpub. had the sweater burger and it was pretty good with a nice kick of spice. it had cheddar, bbq sauce, jalapeno, onion ring, bacon, guacamole, and caramelized onion. wonder why it called the sweater burger. my only guess is that if you enough it often enough you’ll have your own fat sweater.
