We took down our Halloween decorations yesterday, and Joaquin discovered it today and was NOT happy about it. So we started teasing Thanksgiving (not very interesting) and Christmas (super interesting) to redirect him. Now we have to deal with hearing what is on his ‘list’ for another 7 weeks or so. Oh, man.

Aaron and I watched Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead yesterday. It is so painful for me to wait DAYS to watch this show, but due to our desire to go to bed when the baby goes to sleep, we end up watching a lot of our programs during her day naps. Last week everyone on social media spoiled the big news so it was even more painful to wait to watch it. Bergh. Anyway, it was a great episode and there’s something nice about watching prime time TV in the middle of the day. And it’s better to watch TWD during the day vs. right before bed anyway. Because my mind just goes cray after watching that intense intensity.

I just took Aurion for a nice walk around the neighborhood and the sun was setting in such a beautiful way. The air was nice and crisp; highly unusual for SoCal these days; and the little nugget slept so peacefully while I pushed her along the quiet neighborhood streets. Just a simple, lovely piece of the day.

Last night Presli arrived from Washington. She’s just 20 years old, and an aspiring actress. We met her through a friend from high school and she’s going to be living with us for a few months in exchange for ‘helping’ us out for about 20 hours / week. Her ‘work’ will likely include feeding / entertaining Joaquin, helping with cleaning / errands, doing some small organizational projects, etc. The length of her stay is TBD; but most likely 2-3 months until her parents move out here from Washington. I’m cautiously optimistic about the arrangement – it will be nice to have the help, but it will be weird having a new person in our ‘space.’ She does have nanny experience and seems super eager to help out with Joaquin/Aurion, so we shall see how it goes!

And now, some more pics.

Joaquin in his new “Wild Thing” “sweater”

This is the face he made when he realized all the Halloween decorations had been put away (ps. he’s obsessed with the Wild Thing Sweater, and asks to wear it every day lately since it’s been ‘cold’ out)

Here’s my sweet little bebe in a cool sling I’ve been using to wear her around the house

And here’s one from our photo shoot a few weeks ago

K bye.

Still behind on TWD because I can't watch it before bed!

Cute kids! :)

I think TWD writers are trolling us! Stay tuned ;)

Hahaha Celia and Joaquin need to get together to discuss their disappointment over the loss of Halloween and the excitement over Christmas.
