  1. To those that are in Christ, greetings from your brother,
  2. Who is saved by faith in Jesus, and who seeks only to exalt Christ,
  3. That it may be well with me on the day of judgment.
  4. I write unto those who believe, and not only believe, but who follow after Jesus,
  5. Bearing their crosses daily,
  6. Seeking first the kingdom of God.
  7. You have read in the scriptures that Jesus said, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
  8. And in the second epistle of Peter, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction”,
  9. Know you now that the days are near, and even already are, where many who profess Jesus, do by statements and actions, deny the very Same,
  10. Who paid the price of their sins, and in Whom all have the chance of salvation, to the glory of God in the Highest,
  11. And claim now teachings which those who are true followers of Christ know to be heresy.
  12. But even those who have received the salvation of God in Christ are being drawn away,
  13. As is said, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables”, which is true of the modern day.
  14. For even the elect have sought out doctrine which is not sound because it serves their lusts.
  15. Be not astonished, for so it needs to be, for the quick and soon returning of the Messiah, but pray for them that have turned aside from truth.
  16. Pray that they return from deception, even unto Christ Who has redeemed them.
  17. Pray for yourselves also, and all those still strong in the faith, that you and they will not be deceived by those who subvert Christ’s doctrine and kingdom.
  18. Pray without ceasing, for in the fullness of time, when all stand before God, it shall be said of you that you did not waiver nor falter from truth;
  19. Let rather it be said that you did cling unto Jesus and His righteousness, and in the time of reward you shall receive justice, mercy, equity, and reward for your faithfulness,
  20. And bring all glory to the Name above every name, even unto Jesus Christ our Lord.
