Some people never seem to get a break in Just in Case

I’ve written about my cousin and Aunt who are having such a hard time with their other family. They’ve struggled so much. They were going to get a vacation next week. A cousin has a time share in Arkansas and he can’t use it, so he was going to let them use it for free. Monday around noon Sissy went to the neighbors’ house to talk them. She was concerned about Aunt D. We still don’t know exactly what happened. The neighbor had the front door open for her to come in and heard a sound. She followed it and found Sissy unconscious in the doorway. She had a large knot on her forehead. The neighbor called 911 and got ice for the knot. She’s an RN and was able to care for her until the ambulance came. She’s still in ICU. They find a skull fracture and some bleeding, but chose not to do surgery yet. They feel the body will absorb the blood. She’s still very much out of it. She’s woken up a few times, but very confused. My mom stayed with her last night, and Tootie and I got to go see her tonight. It’s very strange seeing her like this. She’s such a. Vital, active person, with a huge personally. Seeing her in that bed just blew me away.
The neighbor says he has an area by his front door where water collects and he usually clears it away. This wife hadn’t done that. They think she slipped on that and hit her head on the frame of the door. They are claiming it on their hie owners insurance.
I’m just hoping she gets some sort of break after all of this. She and Aunt D could use your prayers if you are so inclined.

What an awful thing. That must have been some hit to result in a fracture. Please let us know how she does.

Thanks. The fracture is in a vertical line above her left eye. The neighbor's theory is that she slipped on the water and it threw her forward. He thinks that's when she hit her head. His wife thinks she slipped and hit her head on the concrete bench by the door. These are the neighbor's who have helped them so much. They are pushing their insurance to pay her bills.
