This weekend was the free-to-enter License 2 Play convention, so we hit it over two of the three days.
By now, we're getting to know quite a lot of people in the cosplay community, which has resulted in these events becoming more of a gathering kind of thing and less intimidating. Of course, I have a friendly-looking camera, which helps a lot.

Barry Ouyang, as Wesker (from Resident Evil) again. He's had a couple of upgrades since the last time we met, firstly with these eyeglows, and secondly... well, you'll see that later.
Yes, he has kidnapped Xueling and is offering to "improve" her. I said no.

First of all, I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the fact that this is not real:
(it's a custom job made by a fan, mostly on the basis of "why not?")
Xueling wasn't the only kiddy cosplayer around:
Chibi Mikasa, as, well, Chibi Mikasa from Shingeki no Kyojin.
I think this sums up Xueling's character pretty well, although she's actually quite nice to younger kids:

Oh yeah. About Wesker's upgrades:
He asked me if I would let him take my daughter for upgrading.
I said no.

He brought his friends in, which I feel is mildly unfair:

Rocky offered Barry all his soldiers. I asked him if he wanted to find out just how hot the Kusanagi flames burnt, and how far they went. Daichi said nothing, presumably because he's an assassin.
Oh yeah. At the last event Caffeine was Inori. The fact that this event, in the same location had this dude here in the same outfit:

kept causing me moments of confusion. Also, and I say this as a man absolutely secure in his masculinity, I think he's kind of cute here.

Ladies of Metal Slug. Not sure of cosplayers, not sure of characters.
Not quite sure who everyone is, but the Chun Li is Lavina Tang, and she's dating an old army buddy of mine, whom I only met again as a result of cosplay.
Incidentally, I have not had so many pretty ladies looking in my direction since... ever, I think.
One last thing:
Caffeine, when preparing to be Vanessa, came in for a lot of frustration from me because I kept trying to fix her punch.
The result is that she can now, in fact, slug you quite hard:
