The shore is such a special place. Not only does it provide such beauty beyond different textures and illumination, but the sounds of surf, wind and the movement of sand saturates the sensations.

There is desolation there too. The vastness of the sea, the absence of flora can have desert feel just steps form the enormity of water churning at one’s feet. The night brings a greater sense to the minuteness of life. My life.

Sometimes logic tells me to live in a box within my mind. Dreams become nightmares, aspirations shadows of things that long ago washed away on rip currents to the darkened sea.

Beauty lies. The sun is a traitor each and every day. It comes full of promises and brightness only to fall into the sea every night. It leaves the cold reality the next day will be nothing more than the same pathetic reality of today.

Yet I write. I sit. I wait

It may only seem the same. Everyday it evolves, whether we see it or not.
(Nothing 'pathetic' about the photos.)

Waiting For Sunrise October 21, 2015

Beautiful pictures. That feeling of every day dawning the same is haunting me at the moment. If we are waiting, what are we waiting for?

Maybe as your sign in name suggests we are waiting for the REAL sunrise in our life.
