Some of us equate the change of seasons with life spans on earth. You hear of spring and fall romances, in the winter of their life among other clichés.

Some see the light. Some fear the dark.

Walking forest lanes puts glitter to the sun. Sun rays become dappled. It is a fluttering of photons. Glimmering waves of light peppered with darting shadows that hardly cast it’s shade.

The sun seems farther away.

Although lower to the horizon it still can cast it’s shadow. Present an image. Warm our skin. Warm our thoughts. We get closer. Share our bodies heat. Find purpose in the cool breezes of autumn. Find each other.

This whole thing is fantastic, but this part especially was tremendous. Not just the imagery, but I felt it.
