Good grief , that week went quick!
Seems in this job it’s all or nothing. Week before last, after I got back from holiday, was an easy one with no appointments. Last week I had one every day and ended up doing over 700 miles. Next week I have one appointment that will see 250 more miles under my wheels, but nothing else.
I’ve always loved driving, but I’m getting to a point where this is getting very old quickly. I’ll have been in post 3 years in January (if I make it that long!) and will have covered well over 80,000 miles.

Well, we did have someone over to look at the house, but the feedback was “too estatey” . What a load of rubbish. Yes we are in a little cul-de-sac, where all the other residents are well over 60 ( as were the viewers!), but if you walk out of the close, within 2 minutes you are in fields. That is one of the things that sold us on the place. As well as it being so quiet here. Oh well...... since then we have had no more interest so maybe the estate agent WAS full of BS after all.

Dawn and Lee’s trip to Cornwall last weekend, allowed themm to view quite a few properties but all had something negative going for them, so nothing found yet, but just as well, I guess. Looking online we have found a place that is a main bungalow with a 1-bed annexe seperate from the main house. This would be ideal for all, as Lee could live his own life as he wanted and we would have our own space too, but we wouldn’t be too far if he needed any help. AND it was well within our price range, which means we would have some spare cash for any improvements we wanted, and to cover the beginnings of my new career. Win-Win-Win situation.
I managed to look after myself very well while on my own. Did some shopping, made my own meals, did some washing and ironing and didn’t break anything or burn the house down, so I was quite impressed with me. As was Dawn as she couldn’t believe I’d actually done some washing! I think she’s actually worried that I could be self-sufficient if I needed to be! LOL

Because of all the travelling last week I didn’t get any chance for more writing or research and I really missed it. That’s why I am certain I am making the right decision in the career change. Dawn is so supportive it’s brilliant. She even tries to come up with ideas for me!

We took the two little dogs to the vet today. Honey had her booster and Furby his flea treatment. This comes as part of the pet plan we have with the vet. Really worth the money. They’re both doing OK and were little gems in the vets. Harley is the one that doesn’t like it and he’s the biggest! LOL

Paula is still “grieving” for us leaving which is understandable. It will take her time to get used to it, but I am sure she will cope. Her and her friend, Elle, have started their own business called “Dazzling Divas”. It’s a Pamper Party idea for kids aged 3-16 where they attend birthday parties and do make overs for all the kids (hair, make-up, etc) and have got a few bookings already. So hopefully she will have that to concentrate on and not us moving.

For my sports minded friends, my football (soccer) team have just got a new manager , after sacking the old one last week, and he is supposed to be a top guy. From listening to his first press interview he is certainly passionate, something that has been missing from the team for some time. I hope he will be able to impart some of this to the players. My fave Speedway team, Peterborough Panthers, have fought their way to the play-offs this season too, which is fantastic after the start they had. Fingers crossed for them.

OK, I’ve probably bored you all enough for now. Till next time…
Stay Safe, peeps.
