How is it already Saturday?! Eek! My vacation time was very restful but, as always, went by too quickly!
I’m taking a study break. I’ve been trying to make my percentage of questions answered go up by 1% every day and it takes sooo long because it only includes those you’ve gotten correct and there are thousands of questions on my program. I’m currently at 8% complete. Blarg. It is taking me longer, though, because I’ve been taking notes on some of the things I’ve gotten long, especially large animal stuff. I’ll be taking my exam in just over 10 weeks. Scary.
On a lighter note, here’s so more fair stuff :P
DAY 3
This is the day things got miserably hot, so we didn’t stay as long.
Started the day with an almond blended ice drink.

Then saw some pigs getting a bath (I abstained from eating them even though, you know, bacon)

They complained a lot as pigs are prone to doing. Scrub a dub dub!
More adorable (uneaten) alpacas

Mmm…hot dog

These hot dogs are made especially for this booth every fair and they are remarkably delicious.
Then mummy and I sat in the coliseum because it was cool and we were somehow very entertained for several hours despite there being no show.
Then I snuck out into the heat to grab a brownie sundae and meet up with Aaron

We then retreated back into the cool coliseum. After finishing my sundae, I got some totchos, a new food this year.

They’re essentially nachos but made with tater tots instead of chips. Om nom nom…
And then a show started! Huzzah! Horses!

They were judging draft horses. Beautiful creatures, not so beautiful photos :P
Popcorn was had

And then there were tiny horses!

So cute!
DAY 4
Morning was cold and drizzly, so started off with a hot tea.

Adorable, tiny house!

(didn’t even attempt to eat it, though tempting :P)
This is one of my favorite fair foods:

Cinnie Smith’s mini caramel cinnamon rolls (and milk). They are made from scratch with good ingredients and they are delightful. Warm, gooey goodness. Mmm…
Hot cocoa!

And then it got hot

Lemonade
Piglets!

(Uneaten)
Parade!

(Also uneaten. I would have been verrry full)
Oslo taco salad, new this year.

So good. Cilantro sour cream is surprisingly delicious
I’m a little overly enthusiastic about crop art…

OK, that’s enough of those (there were more photos…too many seeds!)
Oh! And apparently there was some controversial crop art that was removed due to complaints. It was a portrait of Bill Cosby…done in rapeseed…
Inappropriate as hell, but boy did that make me laugh.
There were also a scarecrow contest. This one was my favorite purely because pun:
The circus one was quite involved

There were also lots of beautiful flowers and flower arrangements

Which I did not eat. Also, not including all the ones I took photos of
Met up with Aaron and shared some mini cinnamon scones with creme cheese topping
Butter princess sculpture

Each princess gets to take her sculpture home to eat. That’s a 90 lb block of butter!
Kim chi, curry poutine
It was delicious
Deep friend baklava on a stick

Amazingly decadent and delicious! Mmm…I could go for one right now
The cluck and moo plus blueberry basil lemonade

Chicken, beef, mashed potatoes, gravy. Yumm
Corn and blue cheese fritters with chimichurri dipping sauce
French toast with berry compote, whipped cream, and pop rocks
\
Much was eaten that day :P
Now, time to study some more, maybe find a snack, and lament the fact that I do not have fair food on hand!
