I really needed this time off. I feel somewhat like myself again. And I still have 5 more days! WHEEE!!!
So…I somehow managed to go to the state fair 9 times…It was amazing! It was pretty hot some days so mom and I didn’t stay the whole day several days, but we managed to do and eat almost everything we set out to :P I have a silly life goal of going all 12 days some year. Oh the insanity!
I have a tradition of taking pictures of all the things I eat at the fair. I don’t know why. Mostly just to be silly. So, without further ado, here are some pictures of weird foods and other random fair things.
DAY 1
Started my day off with a final (eek!) and then walked on over to the fair as my campus is right next door to the fairgrounds. Met up with mum and Jan and had me a tasty, iced chai from French Meadow Bakery’s fair restauranty thing.

Then had deep fried pepperjack cheese on a stick. Mmm…

Tiny horse! (which I did not eat)

My phone camera thinks that focusing is extremely challenging so I apologize for blurry pictures.
Donkeys! (which I also did not eat)

Alpacas! (so soft but also not for me to eat)

Chicken Tikka on a stikka, Indian fries (they were seasoned and had a spicy dipping sauce), and a mango lassi

Obligatory photo of Aaron eating a hot dog in an inappropriate manner

Lemonade
Mini donuts!

There are 3 different varieties of mini donuts at the fair and I can never remember which ones I like best. They’re all pretty tasty, though :P
Last food of the night, french fries!

DAY 2
Started the day off with an iced, almond latte and a peach filled scone with cream cheese topping. Om nom nom…

Handsome ram (which I did not eat)

Cheese curds and strawberry lemonade

Apple cider freeze

So delicious on a hot day!
Biggest pumpkin (which I did not eat :P)

Crappy, blurry picture, but I think it weighed just over 1400 lbs!
Old Speckled Hen beer

Which was kind of a mistake. It was way too hot for beer
I found Waldo!

And more alpacas (which I again refrained from eating)

Deep fried pickles

Blueberry basil lemonade accompanied by a crazy face

Mum and I split a salad to counteract the fried food

And encountered a couple dressed up in Victorian-style clothes. Most perplexing

Eccentric or time travelers? Hmmm…:P
Must go study for my boards some more. 2 days of the fair down, 7 more to go :P
