After months of negotiation Paula finally relented and allowed Logan ( eldest Grandsprog) to come on the bike with me.
We initially planned it for yesterday but the weather was a little windy and overcast. Forecast was good for today so we deferred it. I’m glad we did. Wind dropped, sun came out and nice and dry for his first experience of Two-wheel freedom.
Paula and the family were heading into Peterborough, the major town close by, so they dropped Logan off with us.
We chatted for a little while to ease his nerves, then got kitted up. My only instructions to him were:-“You can hold on to me or the bike, whichever you feel more comfortable doing”, “When I lean, lean with me, not against me” and “Just remember, I don’t want to fall off any more than you do!”
It was only a short trip, maybe 3 miles or so, but I am sure he will want to come on it again sometime and go a bit further.....at least I hope so!
Here’s some pics.
