ive been nesting like crazy the last two days. i cannot think of anything else to do other than clean, reorganize and set up stuff. yesterday, i reorganized the bedroom to fit the bassinet in that hubby and i put together on thursday and cleaned/organized the kitchen. today i reorganized most of my closets (i have 3 really big closets in my apartment…very rare for nyc!) and set up the stroller today. i was planning on cleaning the bathroom today too, but i fell asleep. i also went to buy buy baby and bought the crib and mattress! no idea where we are going to put that yet…hubby is suggesting we slide down my dresser and put the crib next to the dresser, but away from the radiator. i dont want him to get too hot or get burned in the winter. i also cleaned out some clothes and put away all of my “normal” clothes so make room for my maternity clothes…not that i havent been wearing only maternity stuff, but i hadnt put away my other stuff. once i cleaned out the closet and found i had an empty bin (who knew!) i was able to put clothes away for post-baby.
dann and i went to the doctor on thursday morning. baby is looking good, heart sounds good, dr is happy he is kicking up a storm. she was a little confused that i had come in when i did and when looking at my chart asked if i was away because i hadnt been into the office in quite some time. the last time i went to my dr i was about 15 weeks…im currently 25 (today!). i had gotten my ultra sound at 16.5 weeks and forgot to call my dr back to set up my 21 week appointment. dr was ok with it and just checked all the basics. didnt even have to take off my pants or get blood drawn! so yay :) so everything looks good. dann asked about the hospital and if we would be able to give birth somewhere closer…basically the answer was no and that we would make it to the hospital in time. im just going to have to get someone lined up to take me there i guess…hoping i dont go into labor early when im at work! i really dont think ill be able to drive myself to the hospital and i dont have anyone close enough to my school to pick me up and drive my car…sigh we’ll figure it out!
so yeah…all that is on my mind as of late is baby boy. hes moving around like crazy and i feel like i cant stop eating lol. im just ready to set up the apartment to get it ready for him, ya know? so happy i put together the stroller all by myself today! it was super easy. its not as easy as the instructions say to fold it up, but i think i just need to practice with it. the one thing im trying to do right now is clear out the closet closest to the bedroom to make that the baby’s closet. that way, we wont need to buy a dresser and i have somewhere to put his toys, clothes and books. itll just be easier…gotta move all of my books and music into the hall closet…might see if i can move my bookcase to the other side of the living room too, closer to my desk area…i dunno. ive got too many ideas in my head lol. i really need to start looking over my unit plans for the beginning of the year too, i just havent had the brain capacity to look over everything (even though the music conference was awesome last week!)
alright, gotta set up a movie on netflix and wait for the hubby to be done playing his game…and finish my coke float :) later!
