Today the yarns from Belgium arrived, and I was able to finish a project that has been languishing for a long while now. The funny part is, it just took me a few minutes to fill in what I needed to.
Tonight's dinner did not go well. And I will leave it just at that. Tomorrow is going to be a heavy duty cooking day -- it won't be turkey, but J and I will be cooking up a massive chicken with the various trimmings, rice, stuffing, corn and honeyed carrots. I need to get up early and get rolls ready and rising. Apple pie and ice cream for later. I am hoping that I can get it all onto the table at the same time. Yes, I'm fussy that way.
And that is about all. Halfway through The Curse of the Pharaohs by Elizabeth Peters. Very good and quite funny so far.
