Bezzerides is played by Rachel McAdams. Yeah, she is in my top ten. They had to work pretty hard to make her look “rough.”
Because she is an angel.
The writing on True Detective is as tight as it was last season. I just wish they would have placed somewhere other than SoCal. There are far too many TV shows and movies set in Southern California just because it is easy for Hollywood types.
True, there are a lot of beautiful places in SoCal, but there are large tracts of something that looks like Detroit - but with better weather.
Singularity
I go through phases where I don’t want to get out of bed. It is a luxury of semi-retirement. Usually I find myself just thinking with my eyes closed, and some of what I think of is my mistakes. I’ve made a few obviously.
I don’t regret much. It is hard to look at the 22 year old me saying ” I have to fly” and tell him he should think it through. The list of not apologies is so long.
I did what I could with the skills I had and the information available.
I had a long conversation with my father tonight. It is time for me to “un-retire.”
