I/we must be bloody mad!
Say hello to Furby, our latest addition. A 9-week old Lhasa Apso.
Ostensibly, we’ve bought him because Harley is not getting any younger and is sadly beginning to show it. Honey follows Harley everywhere and we just know how much she will pine when we lose Harley, so Furby is here to alleviate some of that grieving.
In truth, Dawn has wanted another one for ages! We are totally rapt with the Lhasa Apso breed now, because of Honey, and Furby is further proof of how bloody gorgeous the breed are. He has settled into the household well. The other two are still undecided. One minute they are happy to have him around , the next they’re snapping at him. Poor little soul doesn’t know what to do for the best yet. The problem with Honey is that his puppy exuberance takes over as he bounces towards her, and it’s a little too quick for her, so she snarls and yaps. When he approaches here slowly she is fine. I think he is just too full of energy (as pup’s are) for Harley and he tends to run away when the pup comes near.
Toilet-wise he is brilliant. We’ve had two little accidents (just wee’s) in doors, since we got him thursday night. He lets us know when he needs No.2’s, and we have got into the habit of taking him out as soon as he wakes up.
Now if we can just get him to sleep in a little longer! Both days he’s had us up at 4.50. Yesterday, Dawn and I got up, but I went back to bed for a while as I was working. Today I got up and left Dawn in bed!
Facebook friends will have seen a small video from this morning with Furby and myself at 5.15 having a bonding session! LOL.
On a more personal side, my Journalism course starts on Monday, so I am really looking forward to that, despite having 2 x 2hr journeys to make for work!
Well, that’s all for now. No doubt there will be progress reports and more photos soon.
