Results of the disciplinaries are in. The ones I represented got a Verbal warning , and a First written warning. Verbal stays on record for 6 months and, if you keep your nose clean, is then deleted. First written warning last 9 months. The third colleague that I couldn’t be with , which was the one that was arguing with the ex-colleague, got a Final written warning. This lasts 12 months on record. At least they are all keeping their jobs, despite the “Gross Misconduct” charge. So all in all, it could have been a lot worse. But, you know what really grips in all this? If it weren’t for the stupid ex-colleague sticking her nose in, none of this would have been necessary, and she gets off scott free.
Weather on this side of the pond is being a bit up and down at the minute. One day its raining and a little chilly and overcast, the next it’s up to 24 degrees C and sunny. Changes from day to day, but I have to say the forecasters are actually getting it right for the most part.
Just about to embark on a Freelance Journalism course. I’m hoping that I can get this up and running before I actually quit work totally and start the full-time RVing, and therefore make plenty of contacts to be able to continue, once I’m “on the road”. Coupled with my Photography, I should be able to make a decent amount to keep us solvent while travelling.
I actually went to look at an RV on Monday. No matter how many photos or videos you see, it doesn’t prepare you for seeing them in the flesh! They’re huge! I don’t think we’ll have any problem living in one full time. Yes, it will mean down-sizing big time, but I think it will be good for us, as a lot of the things we have are really just superfluous to our needs. We could easily cope without them. I am looking forward to dragging Dawn along to see one too. I think she will be surprised.
