Breakthroughs & Going Back in Everything Else

I spent most of last night sorting through computer files and reading some old prompt writing. And I will be damned if it didn’t put me right back there again! And it was fucking awesome! I definitely have some drive to write again.
I need to get my ass into my studio & get shit cleaned up! I moved my standing desk out last week and put it into the bedroom for the summer. My studio is west facing and by the time I get home it is an oven! This was the best solution. The only other option was to buy a window a/c unit & while they are relatively inexpensive, they are also picked over! And I can get the work done in the bedroom just the same, so…
I had some sort of weird breakthrough this week. I have not felt this energized & happy for a long time. I don’t know if it was finally having received an evaluation and having all of my fears put to rest or if it is hormonal, but it has been so incredible to not be super pissed off and negative. Feeling like I have things under control and having this creative motivational explosion is so foreign to me. I am even feeling like watching movies and shows I have been putting off. I pulled out a stack of movies that I bought and have yet to watch and they are all lined up and ready to go. I kind of wanted to just take a day off and marathon through them!
I am now in a position to take a mini vacation if I want to! I wish I would have planned a little better because this coming week would be the perfect time to take off for a few days, but I didn’t think I would be ready to go. Now I have to look at the second or third week of July. I need to decide & reserve a room. My only issue is I don’t want to pay the higher price of reserving so far in advance. But without the advance reservation, I can’t guarantee the king jacuzzi suite and that is what I want! Just checked another hotel & they don’t have a jacuzzi suite but the room with a whirlpool tub (not the same thing) is almost double the advance price of the place I want to stay. Fucking Hilton. They think because of the name they can rape you on the room charge! And the room service menu is weak. So very weak.
I have time to decide. And often the trips I take with short notice are usually the best. No time to hype it up & ruin it!!!!

I saw your entry on the main page and it got my attention! As I read it, I thought about how I always tend to regret my lack of planning for vacations (that have ended u twice now being Stay-cations instead die to lack of planning). I hope you get the trip you want and it turns out to be a good one.
