How far along? 23 weeks

How big is baby? She’s more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about the size of a large mango)

Total weight gain/loss: I’m at 121.2 / which is about 15 lbs gained, and ‘on track’ according to my weight gain trending app thing.

Maternity clothes? Yes. And enjoying them so.

Sleep: Joaquin is the ruiner of all things sleep related lately. When he’s not waking me up, I am sleeping really good.

Best moment this week: Watching Aaron’s sister’s graduation ceremony in Santa Barbara; super inspiring to watch her receive her master’s degree. So cool.

I also got a massage last night. It was awesome.

Worst moment this week: The drive back from SB was THE WORST. We sat in so much traffic, and we had to be up so early that day to get to SB in time, so the tiredness coupled with the ugh of sitting in traffic … was just painful.

Movement: Yes, yes and yes. She is so fun. Aaron felt her moving around during the graduation ceremony and was loving it.

Food Cravings: All the wrong things.

Food Aversions: All the right things.

Gender: bouncing baby grrrrrl

Labor Signs: n’yet

Pregnancy Symptoms: GIANT belly

Belly Button in or out? KIND OF OUT ALREADY. Everything is happening so much faster/sooner than it did with Joaquin. Makes me nervous for the 3rd trimester.

What I miss: NOT being nervous in cluster-y situations. I am taking Joaquin to gymnastics tonight and I get nervous around a bunch of crazy kids running into each other and maybe running into my giant belly.

What I am looking forward to: Major ultrasound on Friday morning.

Upcoming appointments/events:
- More birthday parties ( Kenzie, Micah)
- Travel to Seattle or Boston?? or SF??

Milestones (BabyCenter):
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance [CAN SHE FEEL ME RUN? BECAUSE I STILL DO THAT YANNO]. You may now be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes [YAS!]. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby’s increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won’t faze her when she hears them outside the womb [I HOPE SHE CAN’T HEAR MY MUSIC THROUGH MY EARBUDS, E.G. LIL WAYNE].

Current favorite GIRL names: Aurion Rose. <3
