edit, I’ve only had ask the girls four times to clean their teeth and haven’t to count yet....

Especially since I have a great entry to write, and all seems a little much.

What color is your toothbrush?

currently, I think I have a white and green one. The fact that it’s soft bristled is more important than its colour.

Name one person who made you smile today:

today was a smiley day. I kept noticing strangers smiling at me and realised that it was because I was smiling.

What were you doing at 8 am this morning?

heading to the loo, everything ready to leave for school. When I say that everything was ready I’m obviously not including the kids in that one!

What were you doing 45 minutes ago?

reading bedtime stories (books actually) to the girls. Lila is re reading Sheep Pig while tally wanted some of her History of the World book.

What is your favorite candy bar?

I really like the cashew nut nakd bars, they’re scrummy!

Have you ever been to a strip club?

yes. The Buck in Rufforth, near York. The Buck showed male and female strippers. It was an interesting experience, the girls were up for a laugh, whooping and laughing, cheering the male stripper on. The men were staring, drooling. They were so serious about it all. That night I knew that I was very glad to be female.

What is the last thing you said aloud?

probably something along the line of “goodnight sweetheart!”.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

since I no longer actually read ice cream I have to cheat slightly. I make banana ‘ice cream’ by freezing bananas and whizzing them up in the food processor. They make a yummy ice cream substitute and I add different flavours such as cocoa powder, peanut butter, different fruits and honey.

What was the last thing you had to drink?

water at dinner time, yup I live the wild life!

Do you like your wallet?

hmmmm, well technically I don’t have a wallet whereas the reality is that I have several wallets… I don’t often use them, preferring to keep my money in my pocket. I do have a brown leather ish one, but it’s useful when I need one…

What was the last thing you ate?

it was actually a pizza! Very yummy but now I feel a little bloated. I usually avoid bread because of this side effect.

Have you bought any new clothing items this week?

ha ha ha ha! Oh, new clothes!! You make me laugh! To be honest though, I did but tally some socks…

The last sporting event you watched?

haven’t been to one in a while, but on tv it was probably moto gp. Or football. Something like that.

What is your favorite flavor of popcorn?

I like salt, or plain, or butter.

Who is the last person you sent a text message to?

Rich, although I’m about to text another diarist who just sent me one :-)

Ever go camping?

camping? Have I been camping? Pah! I’m the expert! I’ve camped in Scotland throughout the seventies, I’ve called at festivals, five star camp sites, grotty sites filled with caravans. I’m even planning a camping trip this summer, having already booked a festival.

Do you take vitamins daily?

no, I figure I get enough in my daily diet.

Do you go to church every Sunday?

having been brought up a Quaker, church isn’t necessary for spirituality.

Do you have a tan?

I usually go off white in the summer, although I’d have to take my watch off to prove it!

Do you prefer Chinese food over pizza?

no. I find Chinese food quite boring and would go for Thai over Chinese any day.

Do you drink your soda with a straw?

I don’t drink soda…

What did your first text message say?

ha ha, I can’t ferment what happened last week let alone when i first sent a text fifteen years ago! It would have been to Rich, I know that.

What are you doing tomorrow?

I’ll be up at 5 am to run five miles. Get home and stretch. Tell the girls they have ten minutes before they have to get up. Then I’ll shower and dress. I’ll get breakfast ready, make lunches and easy porridge. I’ll remind the girls, gently, to clean teeth and get shoes and ask them several more times. There’s a possibility that I’ll have to count backwards from five. We’ll leave vaguely on time and get to school by 8:30. I’ll drop tally off in get class before going to Lila’s class where I work for the first two classes. I will be working on phonics. Then break time I’ll be in the early years playground before year five maths. Wait, this is getting dull! long story short, I’ll finish at 3p.m. and me n my girls will go home, get snacks and chill. Later we’ll pick Rich up from work do that we can go to Tally’s parents evening.

And after we’ve fed the kids, put them to bed and cleaned up I think I will flob!

my hand sewing, I’m currently making a hand sewn, hexagon quilt using funky fabrics.

What color is your watch?

it’s brown leather with a massively wide strap and a really 70’s face. I LOVE it!

What do you think of when you hear Australia?

my friend in Perth, she lived in London when I did and we did everything together! I also think of Trouser Point on Flinders Island. Named after the cargo of a wrecked shop that landed there :-)

Do you go in at a fast food place or just hit the drive thru?

I don’t eat that Crap! Don’t get me wrong, I like it just choose to not eat it.

What is your favorite number?

I’ve never understood why someone would choose a favourite number.

Who’s the last person you talked to on the phone?

big sis. Arranging meeting up at half term.

Any plans today?

drinking some water, day nine of the ab challenge and going to bed so I can get up tomorrow to run.

How many states have you lived in?

one, Florida.

Biggest annoyance right now?

nothing in general, but talking with another mum at climbing yesterday. She told me that she thought it was wrong that children with autism were allowed in mainstream school. Well, firstly that’s why I have a job, secondly I don’t think there are any issues with having autistic children in mainstream because, well that’s a while other entry. Thirdly, tally was sitting on my lap and became quite upset. Grrrrrrrr. Just because you have to know her well to see the autistic traits, well, it just means that people don’t know. You know?

no, everyone has their demons but mine are pretty tame.

Not that I know of, but if they are, it’s their problem to deal with.

most do, but only because I do, that is my state of parenthood means that I meat lots of other parents.
