Just got back from seeing a double feature - the Hunger Games followed by Catching Fire. Pretty cool! Go see it... they didn't over-sanitise it, but they didn't overly dwell on the gore either. The worst thing about going on opening night? It ends on a cliff-hanger (which we knew because we've read the books) so now we have to wait impatiently for however many years it takes them to get the last one made! I'm not very good at waiting patiently...

Today could have been an absolute disaster. I woke up wheezing this morning and John told me to use my inhaler before I even got up, and then when I went to put my glasses on they were broken! John took me to the place we bought them and I hoped they'd be at least temporarily fixable... but they weren't! The girl looked for another frame to put the lenses in and didn't find any, so she said that I could buy another pair for sixty bucks if I was willing to get the super cheap lenses... okay. I chose another pinky frame and she went out the back to see if they had my lens blank in stock. Another nope. Argh! By now it was eleven o'clock and I was starting to get worried... we had to be at the cinema at five and I had to be able to see! She talked to the optician and HE went out the back to rummage, and luckily for me he found a frame that my lenses could just be popped into without needing to shave them or change anything. Five minutes later I had my glasses back on my face where they belonged, and it only cost $30. We were so infinitely grateful that we told them we'll be back after Thanksgiving to get my 'proper' pair with my insurance. It's time for bifocals and I really want some sunglasses as well... then I'll keep these glasses as an emergency backup.

After that we went to the grocery store to get some candy for the movie, and I found out that my lungs were WAY below par... I only had to walk down two aisles to get to the candy and I was gasping for breath with my mouth hanging open to try to get more air in. :( Came home, somebody was doing their laundry and there was a huge smell of perfume in the air. UGH!!!!!! Gasped my way very slowly up the steps and inside to take some more ventolin. I was ready to take more in the afternoon, but after I rested I was fine. Rested, watched Dr Who, napped and we left at 4.30... the weather was AWFUL this afternoon and it was bucketing down all the way to Boca so it's a good thing we left extra time to get there. John was worried we'd have to have the worst seats in the cinema, but all was well in the end. There were lots of people but not THAT many. The back half of the room was full, but further down (where I wanted to sit because there's less steps and I don't have to crane my neck) we had our pick of aisle seats.

I would have liked to go to Peter Pan for a late night supper after the movie but John wanted to come home so here I sit at midnight waiting to get sleepy... I don't even hurt terribly because I took a pill before we left the house and another one at 10.30. So right now I'm fine! Eventually I'll go sleep, and tomorrow we'll rest. My only plan is to go to yoga and we'll go out to eat either before or after depending on how John feels.
