Surgery Over! Feelin' FABULOUS!!!! in A New Beginning

I have blathered this all over Facebook already, and many of you are my FB friends, but I want to share it with those who aren’t too....
Yesterday I had my parathyroidectomy. We were at the hospital a looooooong time! But it wasn’t really that we had a terribly long wait. We didn’t, really. But my surgery took twice as long as it might’ve, because Dr. Wright ended up removing THREE parathyroids instead of just one! (People have four usually and occasionally five.) Wow! Three wonky parathyroid glands....no wonder I’d felt crappy for years!
What was great was, even though she did all that, I still got to come home the same day. :o) !! And every single hospital employee who dealt with us in any way was soooo nice! :o) !!
The most amazing thing of all, though, is....when I woke up at 3 this morning, I HAD NO PAIN ANYWHERE! None of the body parts that have been hurting me for the past nearly-ten years hurt AT ALL. Now it’s mid-morning; I’ve been up doing things (including going out to breakfast with my sisters) for hours, and NOTHING HURTS. It is so wonderful! My tailbone, my ass, my pelvic bones, my legs.....no pain!
This is what several women I’ve met who had the procedure told me to expect....but I never count my chickens before they are hatched! I was gonna wait and see!
Anyhow, so that is my very best news. And I’m not going back to work until next Wednesday (and two days after that, I’ll be OFF FOR THE SUMMER!).
