I feel like I did a lot of exercise this weekend. I was working on the allotment on Saturday. Digging must burn a lot of calories. Then in the evening I went nudie swimming and did 20 lengths. On Sunday I cycled back to the allotment, and back home again. That’s only about 6km and I had the boy with me, so it was a gentle cycle. And yesterday (bank holiday) we got up early and drove to Kew Gardens. Oddly, although I was born in the South East, I had never actually visited Kew until yesterday. The dragon, who was born 6,000 miles away has. In any case, it was quite a good day out and we walked miles and miles. I didn’t realise Kew was so big. They have a treetop walkway thing. You have to climb 108 steps to the top and you can walk round the tops of the trees. It’s fun.
The Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday was typically awful. I got back from swimming just in time to hear the British entry. I actually rather liked our song this year. I think that’s a first. It was not a view shared by the voting panels however. We apparently scored 5 points and finished 4th from bottom. That was better than last year however.
I’m sure there are other things to write about, but it’s getting late. I’ll write more tomorrow.
