Finally updating in Everyday Things

It’s been a few weeks, but I’m finally ready to talk about my roadtrip LOL. One of my noters asked me if the person I was going to see would be Monika. She used to be on OD as captivating dancer and moved to prosebox though she doesn’t write very often. We became quite close a few years ago and stayed in touch even after OD went down. We’ve talked at large about meeting up for years. The original plan was for me to fly to VA, catch a ride to her house and then spend the night with her and her family.

We actually had plans set in stone to meet up on the weekend of april 24th. I was going to drive from my house to VA and stay that weekend. I thought everything was good until she told me her husband had reservations about my staying over. Her husband didn’t have a problem with me, per se, but he wasn’t too thrilled with having someone off the internet staying at his house. Monika and her family were going on a road trip of their own, so we weren’t able to come up with a different plan. I instead told Monika we could try and meet up again in August when Jasmine comes to town :-).

Even though those plan were dashed, I contacted Kelly and asked her if she would be free for that weekend. She told me she would be free, and so we made plans to hangout that weekend. I won’t go into all the details, but we had great time all weekend. Friday night, we played putt putt at an indoor/outdoor facility. On Saturday, we spent part of the morning doing some sight seeing followed by lunch at Applebee’s. Because there would be a threat of severe weather, we stayed inside the rest of the day. On Sunday, it was time for me to head back home. I left her house around 8:30 central, and after a few pit stops, i was at home around 6 my time.

Funny story about this pic. I actually made a hole in one, but it wasn’t recorded on video. I told Kelly to film my next attempt, and of course, I didn’t get a hole in one LOL.

Well, I’ve ran out of things to talk about for now lol. I will have a four day weekend this weekend. I was supposed to have today off b/c of my niece’s high school graduation. Unfortunately, there wouldn’t be anyone available to run my route. Instead, I decided to take Tuesday off. With that said, I don’t have any big plans except to celebrate my niece’s graduation tomorrow, and take my dog to get his shots followed by a trip to the groomers.
