Almost in Pregnancy

We’re almost there! I moved a few more things out of the spare room today and now all that is left is the massive book shelf (which will most likely stay in there) and this wooden island that I’ve had for years. It’s a complete piece of junk and it’s falling apart, but it’s been such a wonderful work space that I’m going to have a hard time parting with it.... there is just no more room. We don’t have that kind of space in our apartment.

Moving everything from the temple into the bedroom was hard. We’ve lived here for just over a year now and for that year my spirituality had it’s own room. I was able to close a door and be surrounded by nothing but everything. I finally had an entire room to move around in. Sing in, chant in… to fill with magical energy. I thought moving out of my sacred space was going to be incredibly hard.

But it wasn’t. It was inspiring and creative and I am THRILLED to have all of that healthy, magical energy in the place where I sleep at night. I’ve been able to add little touches of magic all over the house in ways I hadn’t thought to before and Tim is 100% supportive of it. It’s still bittersweet when I walk into the spare room and see how empty it is, but I know that feeling will soon be replaced with glee as Tim and I start to build the nursery. Everything happens for a reason. And my bedroom looks KICK ASS now, haha.

It’s hump day. Mid-week. Wednesdays are the slowest day of the week for me. I feel like it’s like the purgatory of the work-week. Tim and I have made some food, finished the registry, finalized the shower list (we’re doing co-ed) and packed dinners for the night. And it’s cloudy and cool out. I just want to stay in and take a nap!

Our raises are going to be officially effective as of next week. It has been confirmed that we will all see varying raises based on performance, time worked, position, and the going rate for new hires. In addition, they will all be retroactive to the first of April. Hopefully, next week we will have a substantial check and we can start buying some stuff to decorate the nursery. We’ve been picking up little things here and there, but we’re hoping that the next few weekends will be filled with tag sales and good deals on baby stuff. I’ll be 5 months next week. This is all going by so fast!

Okay, gotta dash. Lunch then work. Wednesdays are so weird.
