Not much going on today. Woke up at a normal time (9:30 is normal for me) and Tim and I went to find Gil, the grounds keeper, to fix the window in our kitchen. The top portion of the window kept sliding down for absolutely no reason and there is a wasp nest not far from the window so I was NOT going to be dealing with that. Apparently some windows have pulley systems? The pulley’s had come undone so there was nothing holding the window up. It’s working just fine now. Gil was really impressed when I told him I had needle nose pliers. He’s an older guy who tends to be amazed when women have “men” things. It’s kind of cute.

Once Gil left we made breakfast burritos and made a grocery list for tomorrow. Thursdays are our favorite day during the week because we let ourselves get coffee’s from Starbucks and for some reason Tim and I love grocery shopping. We just have a lot of fun at the grocery store, lol.

After breakfast we started making dinner. We had some boneless pork chops in the freezer so we had taken those out last night to thaw and rubbed them with salt, pepper, garlic powder and smoked paprika. Seared them in a pan of olive oil and then baked them at 350 for 30 minutes. They came out delicious. Sooooo excited to have them for dinner tonight. Tim even wore the apron that his mom made. He’s so freakin adorable sometimes.

Work was fine last night. We’ve got some really sick people on the ward right now, people who should probably be committed for their own safety. I had a dream about one of them last night, the one who writes me love notes and just stands at the desk and stares at me. I think I may turn it into a short story. I’ve been itching to write lately and that might be a good place to start. We’ll see.

Tim and I decided that we are going to make the 8-hour trip to Maine for a weekend in July to see my cousins. One of them is getting married and having his Jack and Jill that weekend. I’m due within 2 days of his wedding date, so we wont be able to go, but I am dying to see him and to meet his fiance. Plus, I absolutely fucking love Maine and am so excited to be by the lake and around my family. It’ll be a small getaway before the baby comes.

Well, that’s all for today! I’ve got to wake up my husband for work now. (He’s napping) Here are some pictures of him and our dinner. Just because.
