Friday morning and feeling better. in Ok!!!

Going into the weekend feeling better. Still depressing all this rain we are having. It is getting to the point of being a real hazard around here. Ground is so rotten. Rivers and bayous are really swollwn now. If it rains today and Saturday some people will be forced out of their camps and homes. Some are being flooded out this morning. It is a real mess. I live on a bayou. But on a small chenier and my house is on piers. it has to really be a century flood for me to get any water in my house. Happened in 1984. National guard had to come get us out in some big trucks. don’t want to ever go through that again. Hurricane Rita pretty much wiped us out in 2005. Was three weeks before they would let us back into the parish. Three more weeks before we got electricity. Never lost water but, cold showers by lamp light aint no fun. Cooking on the fireplace and Coleman stove and cleaning up and tearing down all damage was a real job. Lots of trees to cut up. Huge oak tree fell on the house. But, the flood of 84 was worse. We had insurance both times but the hassle is unbelievable. However this is my home and I know you all have your problems with weather just like I do. it’s just that I am tired of all the wet. So I am venting a little here this morning and asking our God for some help. So pray for good weather soon.
All my animals are doing good. hatching some chicks in my incubator. Have about 25 right now in brooder. All the moma bunnys are expecting in May. Mama Llama is pregnant and baby Llama is growing. Looking for me a female Jack Russell Terrier. Broken coat and I want the 12-15 inch size. Preferably from hunting dog stock. A real rat killer. Poison is working to some degree. But Me and Her would make a rat killin team. me with my rat shot and hawk eye shooting skills. LOL rats down here grow big as squirrels. They hang around under my barn. need something to ferret them out. Water hose works and chicken snake to. But still have a few. I haven’t been able to train any chicken snakes yet to ferret so I need a dog.
Want to go fishing. Period. To much water. pa chooie. I’m done!
