I haven’t been great about updating like I said I would be....
Life is just busy. Or maybe that’s an excuse. Life IS busy but I could make time to write. Instead I do other things. By other things I mean sit in front of the television.
Things are pretty good. For the most part anyways.
Still haven’t figured out what’s wrong with my shoulder/neck. I’m supposed to be referred to a neurologist but the referral is taking forever to go through. I’ve been going back and forth fighting with my insurance and the doctors office. I feel like giving up but the daily pain reminds me I need to take care of this or I will be miserable forever.
My husband is trying to lose weight. He started meeting with a trainer twice a week. Poor guy. It’s kicking his butt. I know it’s hard. I should be doing the same thing. I’m proud of him for trying.
Our business is great. A company offered to give us money to have 30% of it. The amount was difficult to turn away. (it would have been life changing....)
I trust my husband will make the right decisions for our family. He’s worked so hard, put so much time in, and has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Not only is he taking care of our family, he’s taking care of so many others in the process. I don’t give him enough credit.
He’s also started teaching others how to do what we do. An 8 week class of webinars and question and answer sessions.
We’ve come so far.
My house is always a disaster. I blame it on having a 2 year old.... but it’s mostly because I don’t have enough energy to keep up with everything. Dishes are always in the sink, there’s always a load of laundry to be done....etc. It never ends. But that’s life. And I’ve realized some things are more important than a clean house. My daughter will only be little once.
We got two baby bearded dragons a few weeks ago. Sydney loves them. I didn’t know they were so much work to take care of but I’m finding that I love the little guys. I give them fresh veggies and have to buy crickets (live) in bulk because they’re PIGS. We named them Scooby and Shaggy. (Can you tell my daughter loves Scooby Doo?)
So we have 2 boxers, 2 lizards, and 2 (saltwater) fish. I’d have a zoo if my husband would let me. I think he’s cut me off.
My sister in law started dating my husband’s best friend. It’s been a little strange and hard to get used to but I think everyone will adjust. It’s not “bad” just… not what the family expected. Apparently they’re very close (and it happened so suddenly) They’re taking things fast. (She’s already said “we’re going to get married and have babies!”)
And the wife and mother in me said “SLOW DOWN!” lol.... Although I wouldn’t mind having a niece or nephew to love on.... (ahem, baby fever)
They both work for our business so that’s kind of weird too. I love them both dearly and I hope it works out. We already consider him family and have for years.
Oh! We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary the end of March. Starting the tradition of asking each year what we need to work on and talking about what we’re “good” at. Marriage isn’t always easy but it can be if you treat them with love and respect. He’s my best friend. We may not always kiss as much as we used to, hold hands, or act “in love” (the honeymoon phase ends folks) BUT we finish each others sentences, laugh at each other constantly, and support each other. He’s truly the other half of me.
And our daughter is a good combination of both of us. We love her too much I think sometimes. If that’s possible.
Gotta run. Things to do while the kiddo is sleeping. A mothers work is never done.
Promise to come back soon.
