its 1:00 am and i am the last person on earth who has decided almost 2 months later to go see fifty shades of grey. just never had the time before.
i have left the movie with jamie dornan on my mind.
i just got home.
disclaimer- slightly graphic below
a few things. i do not normally getting into my sexual thoughts on PB or publicly anywhere and i dont plan to but will share my thoughts about this movie that contains a good amount of sex.
in truth- i wanted to walk out of the movie within 10 minutes. no joke. i was just like WTF? this looks pretty stupid.
i was by all MEANS not impressed with the first introduction of anastasia and at first i thought mr. grey was super awkward and both people playing these roles do not mesh well together.
after another 10 minutes i started settling in.
*i think jamie dornan in my OPINION makes an almost perfect mr. grey. i just wish he was a bit taller. i thought he was super hot and a beautiful but dark adonis. he can play serious. i like that alot. i had no problems with him at all. i believe he played the part well. i actually believe the sex scene in the red room was HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTT and one of the best scenes in the movie. there was nothing offensive what so ever about it. really jamie taking the lead did a great job. clearly you can see i loved it! i completely see jamie dornan as mr. grey. no question about it.
*i think dakota johnson played a decent anastasia but i dont believe she belonged in this movie with jamie dornan. whoever casted this movie did such a BAD job. she could have been a better anastasia with SOMEONE else. she played the role well in being insecure, naive, anastasia. yes same typical female in these type of movies.
*i think dakota johnson partly ruined several of the sex scenes by acting all giggly or being super weird. i know she is young blah blah blah and so innocent/naive/pure. i get it. i just wanted to tell her to just shut up and go with it! follow mr. greys lead! he was (mr. grey) so intense in several moments and she almost ruined it those intriguing moments.
*there was a part of me that i was thinking i was watching part II of the twilight series with several similar characteristics which would lead me to ultimately HATE anastasia. i only like bella at almost the end so i am going to assume the same will happen with anastasia.
*if i hear beyonce one more time in a movie soundtrack i am going to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!! with such a hyped movie this soundtrack has to go be one of the worst. the weekend song is the only good song. where was depeche modes strange love ( or friendly fires rendition) or madonnas erotica. during several of the more seductive scenes (except the red room scene) the music that segwayed in did not work with the scene in my opinion. there were plenty of other suitable songs. no more beyonce . love you B but no more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*i loved the adventurous side of mr. grey. the seeking of thrills. i like that. all of the aviation stuff. if one was scared of planes i confidently feel with in an airplane or helicopter with this kind of man you would feel safe or on top of the world. i loved that part of him.
*i did not think in any way shape or form that mr. grey was abusive towards anastasia AT ALL. it was all consented by both parties.she agreed to everything. i never even flinched when he was hitting her with the belt. i heard people talking about abuse or getting offended. i never saw it at all. the book however made me think otherwise. the first fifty book left me thinking mr. grey was a complete abusive, stalking, possessive, mind fuck, sick fuck type of person. he left me with disgust at the end of the 1st book. the movie was the complete opposite. i felt no disgust from him at all in how the character was played.
*i was intrigued by the dominant - submissive role play etc. consider anastasia crossed off several areas she was not interested in moving forward with. looked to me like there was an overall agreement with whatever was to happen. she did not have anything to lose by experimenting. the red room is beyond overwhelming to look in with all of the “embellishments” that can be used but---------mr. grey drew me more to him.
*the movie was a play by play like the book BUT i think the book portrayed mr. grey to be a bit more darker fifty shades of fucked up. this movie did not. i think it made one more interested in experimenting with mr. grey. that is just my opinion.
*i just dont think mr. grey treated her like crap, or abused, nor did he degrade her.
that was not conveyed in this movie at all. well its not what i saw anyways.
i would love to have seen the unedited version.
i will see the next one.
jamie you had better stay in this movie!
i can see why your wife may be super ticked off but stay in the movie!
just my opinion is all.
good night!
