I am SO thankful that the weekend is here. This past week has just been completely exhausting.
I’m ready for a friend and family filled weekend! I was supposed to have breakfast with Sadie this morning but she’s got the terrible cold that’s been circulating around the hospital and neither of us want her getting out of bed. (My reasons are slightly selfish… I really can’t afford to get sick) So rain check on that!
Chels is gonna come pick me up sometime after 2 and we’re going to lunch. I’ve been craving Friendly’s (for those of you who aren’t from the east coast, it’s a chain of restaurants that does burgers and ice cream, just classic american food) since last night and I know exactly what I’m getting. Honey Barbecue Chicken Supermelt with loaded waffle fries. I am embracing my fat kid today, do not judge me. XD
I am also biting the bullet and getting my eyebrows done. I don’t dare get them threaded right now because it’s been so long, so I’ll go get them waxed this week and in 2 weeks I’ll go to my usual ladies and have them threaded. It’s tedious and hurts more than waxing, but the final outcome is 10x better. If you don’t know what eyebrow threading is, look it up. It’ll blow your mind.
Aaaand it looks like I’ll be getting them threaded after all. Chels and I just made plans to walk around the mall today (which is where my threading place is) so I’m going to have to suck it up and deal with the pain. It’ll all be worth it in the end, haha.
Tomorrow I’m going to spend the day with my aunt and uncle! Sunday’s are turning into family day and I am TOTALLY okay with it. My cousin Felicia sent me a text earlier in the week saying she hoped I was coming Sunday because she misses her big sister. Melted my freakin heart. I’m so glad I’ve been able to spend more time with them lately. They’re all super excited about the baby and I always feel so good when I go over there.
That pretty much sums up my weekend. Back to work on Monday and Tuesday we have another OB appointment. I really hope that the Doppler can actually pick up the heartbeat this time. I’m a month farther along than I was the last time they tried, so I’m assuming they should be able to hear it! I’m pretty sure at this appointment they’ll schedule my anatomy scan which is SO EXCITING. Hopefully in the next 4 weeks we’ll know if we’re having a son or a daughter!
We did the needle test last night (where you use a pendulum and hold it over your belly to determine if it’s a boy or a girl) and according to my husband (who I think may have had a little influence) we’re having a boy. I think I may have one of my unbiased girlfriends try it in the coming weeks to see if the answer is different. But we’ll see what happens! I don’t care either way. A little girl would be nice but I am going to love the shit out of this little magical baby no matter what.
