More exercise rambles... in Journal

Hi!

I don’t think much has changed really since I last wrote… I am still struggling with the diet part of PT, I haven’t been able to find a way of eating that actually fits yet but maybe that’s because I don’t give anything a long enough chance! I missed my HIIT session on Wednesday because I thought that I might have the flat to myself when I got home from work but Drew and Robyn had already set themselves up in the lounge which is the only room with enough space to exercise. I should have just asked them to clear out for 20 minutes but I used it as an excuse. Yesterday I was supposed to do a combat class after work but ended up going for a cycle with Paul instead because he’s just bought himself a fancy new bike. We went from mine, down through the gardens to the beach and then along the promenade to hengistbury head and back again. My polar beat app told me that it was 10km and I burnt 450 calories so I’m reasonably happy with that. It was a really lovely evening and the sunset was really pretty!

I got a bit discouraged exercise-wise when I saw that Ross had posted a video of a girl being all awesome at exercise and doing circuits on the hack squat and then weighted lunges. I know that it’s really silly to make comparisons but I can’t seem to help it. I can’t even work the hack squat by myself, I need Ross to put the brakes on for me! I also always feel like I’m struggling and whinging through the exercises I do… in a way I guess that it’s good that I’m struggling because it means I’m pushing myself but I also want to feel like I’m actually good at some of it! I have my second session of the week today and then I’ve got another one were I’ll be weighed in tomorrow morning… I think I might not have lost any weight again this week… last week I was so sure that I would have and I didn’t… this week I’ve not been as good with my food or exercise. Ross is also going to fat calliper me tomorrow which I’m dreading, I have to make sure I shave my legs tonight!

Actually last weekend on the Saturday Paul and I did zig zag ‘sprints’ in the morning which I actually kind of enjoyed, although it was more like a jog than a sprint! It was such a beautiful morning and I really enjoyed the novelty of the fact it was me making Paul exercise and not the other way round!

I am really lucky to live so close to the beach!

Drew and Robyn have been looking at properties but don’t seem to be getting anywhere and they’ve been rowing about it quite a lot as well. I can’t wait for them to move out!

I got the date of Natalie’s wedding wrong and it’s actually tomorrow! I still don’t know what I’m going to wear… Some people mentioned that I should be able to take Paul but the invite I got was just a card without my name on… I feel like it would be a bit cheeky to ask if Paul could come because I don’t think I would have been invited if I hadn’t asked Beth to ask Natalie if I could come!


I wrote that yesterday but didn’t get round to posting it! Last nights PT session went quite well I think, I didn’t feel like I whinged as much as normal and I enjoyed most of it! I even put the brakes on the hack squat on myself this time! Progress! Lol. Ross also had me skipping which I haven’t done since I was little, so that was fun! Weigh in day today… Please cross your fingers for me!!
