Quiet Week in In the Meadow

This has been a fairly quiet week after the excitement of the musical last weekend. We tried to pay extra attention to Timmy and Aaron, since Kayla got a lot of attention this weekend. We went to the park to work on baseball and softball skills. The kids start baseball/softball very soon. They are working on projects for their school science fair. They are still deciding which projects to do. It is still in the planning stage.

I have been feeling a little tired this week. We were very busy last weekend with the musical, although it was definitely worth it. Kayla was tired too. On Monday I let her sleep late and drove the kids to school. Kayla said that when she went to school on Monday, a lot of the kids who had been to the show said they liked her hat. She decorated it herself, and I thought she did a nice job. I didn’t really focus on it during the performance. It’s interesting what kids notice that adults don’t.

Timmy is going to a bar mitzvah on Saturday for a boy from his hockey team. The invitation said parents were invited. We decided that my husband would go with him and I would stay with the other kids. There is a service on Saturday morning at the temple and a reception on Saturday night at a hotel ballroom. We are giving him money as a gift. The timing worked out well because Timmy can wear the outfit we got him for Easter to the Bar Mitzvah.

I think that Kayla, Aaron and I will just have a quiet weekend. We are all tired from the show.
