It's a .... in Humanity

GIRL. OMG. We were definitely not expecting that. We had somehow convinced ourselves that this was another little male energy in my belly.. even though ALL signs pointed to the opposite (ongoing nausea, extreme exhaustion, digestive issues, etc.).

We’re behind thrilled, but we’re also terrified. All the things that we thought we might avoid in the tween / teen years that come with raising a girl are now going to be a definite part of our lives.

I think we just got so used to the idea of a boy, that the idea of a female and all the implications that come with that didn’t cross our minds, and now EVERYTHING is crossing our minds. In fact, it’s BLOWING OUR MINDS!

We’re also relieved to know for sure that there are no chromosome concerns, so basically, we’ve kind of crossed into a new territory of excitement, where it feels so much more REAL, and where a lot of our worries have been put to rest.

There’s still a lot more to come, but a 11 weeks and 2 days, I feel a very strong sense of calm excitement. I CAN’T WAIT TO MEET MY BABY GIRL!!! Annnnd just as I typed that I became overwhelmed with emotion and started crying.

Oh yeah, this is a female alright.
