Hectic weekend in Another Open Diary refugee

Whew it’s been a busy weekend… we drove up to Orlando Friday night after John finished work and we didn’t end up leaving till 6pm so we got there at 8.30 and had a super late dinner of takeout chicken (don’t ever bother with Zaxbys chicken btw, it was pretty mediocre and their fried chicken fingers were seriously overcooked… from now on I’m going to hold out for Popeyes!) Saturday we went to breakfast with our brother-in-law then drove north to visit friends who turned out to live way out in the countryside and it took a full hour to drive there, but it was through very pleasant scenery - they live in the hilly part of Florida… we had to be back by 5 to go to dinner with our sister, so it was a fairly rushed visit, but it was nice to see them anyway. John sold them his old computer and we took it up for them.

This morning we relaxed at our BILs and we left at lunchtime so that we’d be home in time to go to a church dinner tonight… got home at 2 and I quickly baked some snacks to take, had a very nice dinner, left early because we were both tired, stopped at the grocery store for a few essentials on the way home, came home, took the trash and recycling out, got a shower, and now it’s 8.30 and I’m relaxing in my pjs… it’s not often that we have ANY social events to go to - four in two days is hectic!
