Hello to the few who read me! :)
Well, I went to the Dr. on Tuesday and found out that the herniated disk in my back is pressing on the nerve. We know this because I have a place, right above to the side of my left knee that is swollen and numb. I can feel when I touch it, but it’s a totally different kind of feeling. I can feel the nerves moving around. It feels like something is crawling on my leg right where it’s swollen. When I woke up Friday morning, I stretched and oh mylanta did that hurt. So my Dr is leaving me on Methadone and added a new med called Gabapentin I believe is how you spell it. It’s for nerve pain. Which is good since I have Fibromylagia. It sucks big time. And I’ve been in a lot of pain lately. The pharmacist said it takes a couple weeks to get into my system. He said it’s a pretty low dosage. I’m thinking 10mg. It’s 100mg. And I’m to up it to 300mg as my body gets used to it. I asking him what’s the highest it can go? 3600mg. I almost fell over. I won’t need that high, I hope. So now I take 10 pills at night instead of 7. Ya me....I’ve been sleeping in my chair for just about two weeks. Terry misses me in bed. I miss him too, but the pain when I wake up I just do not want to mess with. I have a heating pad with me on my chair so that’s helpful.
Tomorrow, Saturday, at my mom’s work, there is a craft supply sale! Seven vendors set up today and my mom and I went to town on one of them! We got $200 worth of stuff for $44.55. I am BEYOND excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There’s gonna be lots more of tomorrow! I am SO excited!!!
Well, it’s 11:33pm on Friday and my meds are kicking in. Sorry this is short. I don’t have much to say other than I hate being in this pain and I can’t wait for tomorrow! lol
