Kayla’s school musical starts a week from tonight. There are two performances, on Friday and Saturday. They did run-throughs of the whole play this week. At first Kayla was nervous about the rehearsals, but she has settled down. It has helped that some of the teachers come to watch the rehearsals, so she has been able to get used to having an audience. Next week they have the dress rehearsal. Kayla is in the chorus. She has a really cute costume.

Timmy and Aaron have been helping her practice. They have been really good about this. We have been trying to give extra attention to the boys. Kayla has been getting a lot of attention from the musical, and we don’t them to feel left out. Timmy had a nice time at the end-of-season hockey party. Aaron’s junior hockey team didn’t have a party. We took him Dave and Busters and he played games and did the bowling. Aaron likes bowling the best out of all the kids. He has gotten quite good at it.

On Wednesday we went to Niagara Falls. It was consistently cold last month and a lot of ice sculptures formed. There is an ice barrier upriver to keep the ice out of the water intakes for the power generation, so the falls doesn’t completely freeze. Before the power project there were times when it froze over completely. It must have been quite a sight. This time there was more ice than I have ever seen there.
