Sunny Days in Pipeline Tales

The weather sure has taken a turn for the better! It isn’t exactly spring weather but it has a hint in the air that it is! This week is supposed to get into the 50’s. We will be playing out side for sure!

The weekend wasnt all that bad. I did make it to the mall on Friday. The girl that came to visit her BF on J’s crew is also friends with the daughter. I have known her since she was little. Anyways she came to pick me up, I got the stroller loaded in the trunk and was getting back in the car when I noticed little man eating something. She had given him this big gummy fish. He had about half of it in his mouth. I took the other half and said he doesn’t eat those things. She has a daughter that is 5. Little man had fun “talking” to her on the car ride.

We had lunch as soon as we got there. She told me she wanted to hit a couple of stores to find swimsuits. They were going swimming at the hotel next door. I said thats fine, I will take the kids to the play area.

Little man had so much fun going down the slide and running around!

But about 45 minutes had gone by and she hadn’t shown up yet. I sent her a text and said hey we are by the Sears store if you got turned around. (she had got turned around leaving the food court) No answer.

By then little man was getting tired out. Her daughter had decided she was a cat. She was lounging on the toys, hissing and clawing like a cat towards any kid that came around. The little kids were crying. The mothers were shooting me dirty looks. I have only met this little girl a few times before. Finally I told her she needed to stop, the other kids were getting scared. She tells me it her destiny to be a cat.

Almost 2 hours later this girl shows back up! I think the daughter must have called her to tell her I was PISSED! ( The daughter had called to talk to little man while I was waiting. I told her what was going on )

She tells me she was at Victoria Secrets to get a new bra. There was an hour wait for fittings. UGH! She knew I was mad, so we loaded the kids up and she brought me back to the hotel. Little man fell asleep as soon as he got in his car seat.

Saturday was fairly nice out. Little man went out to play for a little while. For some reason I took his snow pants out of his bag when we went home. Grrrr.. He couldn’t play out that long, but had fun!

J didn’t have to work Sunday. Saturday night he called one of his foreman that lived a couple of hours away to see if he would be home the next day. The guy is almost 70, but comes back every summer to run a crew for J. Needless to say he was thrilled to have us visit.

We had to get up extra early with the time change. It has been an adjustment being an hour ahead here, but now 2 hours ahead! Makes the days go by fast!

Little man stayed awake for the ride. He was good until almost the end. Then he decided he wanted french fries.

Went over this huge bridge that made him laugh!

We had a very nice visit with the guy and his wife. Their SIL came over with a big lab dog. Little man was thrilled playing with him. We have been thinking about getting a lab puppy this summer. They wanted to take us out for lunch. We weren’t sure about little man, he had been so good for so long and out to eat isnt his best thing.
But he did great! Then slept the 2 + hour ride back to the hotel!

I got on the daughters ass last night. Everytime I open FB its a pic of her with friends at some bar. She hasn’t bothered to skype LM since she was here 2 weeks ago. He was looking at pics of her last night, saying hi momma. She has started dating some guy. He is an Army recruiter. Probably about 10 years older than her. I think she has been spending the night with him already too! Just so aggravating! Not even getting into the whole thing.

J has some long work hours coming up this week. The big wigs are all supposed to be here tomorrow. J has to drive to Detroit for a fancy dinner with them. Thankfully I don’t have to go! I am not sure if I am going to my cousins or not. She has been sick since she got home from Florida. We have kept healthy so far on this trip, sure don’t want that to change.

Time for lunch then we can go out and play for awhile. They have a basket ball court that LM can play on. So much snow has melted, now its getting to be a muddy mess! Plus I need to start on a grocery list.
