It took me a long time to get up this morning -- I just wanted to say in bed with the cats where it was warm. It's November of course, so it is cold after all, but I'm just not ready for it. And my hands are a bit puffy, so that's not a good sign either. Grr, grr, grr.
Made Queen Catherine tea today for breakfast -- J wanted steak and spud, so that was breakfast. Harney and Sons has such good tea, it really puts all others into the shadows.
Managed to get through more of Lark Rise to Candleford. It's a bit different than usual novels, it's more of a memoir of village life in England in the 1880's; there isn't a plot, at least in the first novel, and it is more character sketches than anything else. But the writing is very good, and very evocative.
Poor Mu is wailing today, and just wants to find someone's lap. Unfortunately he keeps getting between me and the computer, and I am trying to finish a review of Among the Janeites. I will say that it is a book that I can recommend to those out there who really love Jane Austen.
I do wish J would get up off his backside and hustle himself up to the grocery shopping.
A moment later: This won't save. (Grumble) J is off getting ready to head out. Good.
Watching on CNN the latest flap about the mayor of Toronto getting busted for smoking crack. Fire his ass!
